WHAT DOES THE HEALTH MINISTRY DO?

It lifts up and is faithful to the message that "Jesus the Healer is with us today".

It encourages concern for those with special needs (temporary and long term), families, homebound, primary care givers, those in transition, those with chronic illness.

It seeks to engage professional and nonprofessional persons to use their gifts of time and talent in stewardship on behalf of those in need.

It brings a positive approach to whole person health at the congregational level.

It provides opportunities for churches and health care communities to work together to promote the multiple aspects of health and wellness.

It strives to point people in a direction that will lead to health, wellness, and wholeness.

The Parish Health Ministry at Old Paramus Reformed Church has responded to the needs of its Church family in both simple and complex ways to meet the above criteria.
